Hallmark Channel-Inspired Movies from the Library

Posted on December 10, 2020 by Library Staff in Book Recommendations, Library Blog

Hallmark Channel movies and countdown to Christmas – a holiday tradition! These are heartwarming movies where the characters are kind, the love stories are predictable, and the endings are always happy. These movies share the same settings and storylines – often small-town communities where conflicts are resolved, and love wins all. It’s escapism for long winter nights.

Family-friendly and gentle, Hallmark-inspired movies strike a cozy chord for people who want positivity in their lives. Look to the library’s streaming and DVD collection for lots of movie choices.

From our DVD collection, Poudre Library offers Hallmark Binge Watch Sets. These sets each contain 4-8 DVDs, ready for a weekend of binge watching. Each binge watch set checks out for a week. There are also several single DVDs available for three-week checkout.

Streaming service hoopla is also a great option for finding Hallmark-inspired holiday movies. Hoopla movies are available to stream or download through your computer / tablet / smart device using an internet connection or app. Movies check out for three days and you can select up to 10 movies a month.

Check the library’s downloadable how-to webpage for more info on setting up hoopla on your devices. All hoopla titles are free with your library card.
