In April, we welcomed two new members to the Library Board of Trustees. Hilary Herrmann and Josh Fudge were appointed jointly by representatives from the Fort Collins City Council and Larimer County Board of Commissioners. Trustee Matt Schild was reappointed to serve an additional four-year term on the Board.
From an early age, Hilary Herrmann was an avid reader and fan of public libraries. Her early professional experiences include work at public and college libraries supporting circulation and children’s events. Hilary holds a M.A. in Reading and works as Education Pathways Lead with Poudre School District’s Futures Lab. She has been a resident of the Library District for over 20 years. Hilary’s term goes through March 2027 with the option to serve a second four-year term.
“The library is a keystone organization in our community. It provides services, information, opportunity for connection, entertainment and potentially life changing resources,” she says. “My vision for the Library District would be that it is something that every single person in our community sees themselves in and actively engaged with.”
Josh Fudge is the Director of Performance, Budget and Strategy at Larimer County. He holds a Master of Public Administration and has extensive experience in budgeting, financial management, and policy analysis. Josh fills a mid-term vacancy through March 2024 with an option to serve a four-year term.
“My family and I are avid readers and frequent library customers. I see our community growing significantly both in numbers and diversity and would like to be a part of helping the Library District grow with it effectively,” Josh explains.
At the Board of Trustees’ annual meeting in April, the board also voted on a new slate of officers appointing Matt Schild, President; Corey Radman, Vice President; and Randy Heisserer-Miller, Secretary/Treasurer.
