Celebrate Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month

Posted on September 15, 2020 by Katie Auman in Library Blog

The Poudre River Public Library District recognizes that Hispanic / Latinx individuals and families contribute to our community every day, and they are an essential part of our community and our organization.

Across the country, Latinx community members contribute to our country as business owners, entrepreneurs, veterans, teachers, and public servants among many other professions. Although Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month allows us to recognize and honor their achievements and contributions for a specific amount of time, we celebrate their culture every day.

Colorado artist Armando Silva visits students at Harris Elementary in Fort Collins.

Throughout the year, the Library District partners with many local grassroots organizations and nonprofits that intentionally serve the Latinx community, and we provide culturally-attuned programs, services, and collections.

Please join us through our varied programming or collections in celebrating Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month.

The community enjoyed performances ahead of author Matt de a Pena’s visit.
