Where to watch the USA Pro Challenge

Stage Six of the USA Pro Challenge (Stage two of the women’s race) is on our home turf. On August 22, some of the countries fastest men and women will cycle from Loveland to Fort Collins. They’ll ride along the north side of Carter Lake, through Rist Canyon, next to Horsetooth Reservoir, and finish in Downtown Fort Collins. Below I’ve compiled a list of some of the best places to catch a glimpse of this inspiring race!

  • Bingham Hill
Watch the men and women both as they approach the final stretch into Fort Collins.
  • Old Town, Fort Collins
What better place to watch the race than at the finish! Be prepared on the morning of the race to find parking (or take public transport/ride your bike) and stake out your spot early though. Downtown is going to be packed!
  • Library Park (south and east side)
Enjoy the shade, and stop into the library to pick up something great to read or listen to while you wait!
  • East side of Horsetooth Reservoir (men’s race only)
The challenging ups and downs of Horsetooth Reservoir make it a great place to watch these skilled cyclists.
  • South side of City Park
The final stretch is down Mulberry St which means races will be flying by City Park.
  • Anywhere on Mulbery from Overland to College
    See above.
  • Rist Canyon Road in Bellvue
The ride from the top of Rist Canyon into Bellvue drops 3,000 feet in just over 10 miles making it an exciting place to watch the race.
