Hoopla: talk or writing that is designed to get people excited about and interested in something: TO-DO; also : BALLYHOO (from Merriam Webster)
The Poudre River Public Library District is the perfect place to discover what all the “hoopla” is about!
We have now added hoopla– a streaming digital service with access to thousands of movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks. All you need is a Poudre River Public Libraries card to access hoopla and you can watch or listen anytime, anywhere!
These titles can be borrowed via instant streaming to computers and tablets and smartphones, or you can temporarily download the titles with the hoopla app on iOS and Android devices. You will never need to put a title on hold with hoopla, and you will never have late fees returning an item, as titles come back to the library automatically on the due date. Movies and TV shows can be borrowed for 72 hours, music for 7 days, and audiobooks for 3 weeks, and each cardholder is allowed to borrow 10 hoopla items per month.
Hoopla is the latest in a series of digital resources the library offers, including eBooks from Overdrive, eMagazines from Zinio, and eAudiobooks from Overdrive and OneClick Digital. Grab your library card, go to poudrelibraries.org/download/ and see for yourself what all the hoopla is about!
